Recipients of foreign organs and tissues, including bone marrow and corneal transplants, are cautioned not to take any immune nutritional supplements. Therefore, Moducare is NOT recommended for transplant patients (People with synthetic replacement/reconstruction including hip, knee, breast, or pacemakers are not included in this warning.) Moducare is not for use by individuals with a history of Type-1 diabetes or multiple sclerosis. Do not use Moducare if you have sitosterolemia.
Health Canada requires caution recommendations for nutritional supplements stating not to take them if you are pregnant or nursing.
Those taking blood thinners should not take Moducare. Various foods, herbs, and medications can interfere with blood thinners, making the drug more or less effective. It is important to speak with your physician about taking any natural product while on blood thinners.
